Some Differing Opinions on Exactly What Window Candles Are
So what are window candles anyway? It seems that no one is sure, candle stores online have some differing opinions so we thought we'd give you some insight into what those opinions are.
At most candle shops, when you ask or search for window candles, you'll be directed to candles that might be ideal for placement in your windowsill. These are generally candle lamps. Candle lamps aren't actually candles, they are electric candles, these can be a safe way to illuminate your windows, especially popular during the holidays.
In a few other places, window candles are defined as candles that have a light interior, yet are dipped in darker wax to create a dark exterior. Then images are carved out of the candle so that they are illuminated as the candle burns down.
