Get More Bang for Your Buck with a Jar Candle
A jar candle is quite possibly the perfect candle. They come in reusable, airtight containers, they do not gutter hot wax down the side of your furniture, they utilize more of the scent in the wax by evaporating more of it into the air. The reason being because the wax evaporates up into the air, instead of spreading out keeping the wick covered longer, thus burning longer.
The containers are very useful in crafts, after the candle has burned away. You can use them for sand art, fill them with colored marbles, or beautiful river stones. I have even known some people to make their own candles inside the used jars.
The airtight containers can also be used for containing flour, rice, or other grains, after the jars have been properly washed. You could fill the empty jar with potpourri and a little water, then set it on a candle or mug warmer to release the fragrance. Go ahead and think of something, you will have more than enough time to think of something since your candle will burn for 30+ hours.
