Using Candles in Home Decor
Home decor, ideally, says something about your personal style, maybe has a theme in each room or part of your house, and gives your home a welcoming, unique touch. Candles can be an easy and inexpensive way to add flair to your home decor, since candle scents and candle holders come in a myriad of different varieties. This may be why the majority of America's households now burn candles.
Home decor can also reflect the changing seasons, giving a fresh look to a room every few months. And there are not many easier ways to add some festive holiday and seasonal touches to your home than getting an appropriate candle holder out of the closet and burning a seasonal candle in it. You not only have a touch of the season, but a scent as well. A spiced berry votive glowing inside a snowman holder would surely bring warmth to winter, while something fresh like a floral scent or a cucumber melon candle in a bamboo holder can bring the spring into your home. In summer a lemon tealight might be a refreshing pick me up while a yummy pie candle in an autumnal candle holder would welcome the fall.
In home decorating, the natural element is always appealing. This is what makes candles a great part of feng shui decorating or any for that matter - bringing the natural element of a glowing fire into your home (while remembering to observe candle safety, of course). So the next time you decide to do a little decorating, don't forget to add candles - the easiest and quickest way to bring illuminating warmth into your home.
