According to this limitation, a mass of pre-blended wax can hold only 3 to 6% of fragrance oil.
However the “triple scent” category of candles can absorb greater amount of scented oil. It allows 1.5 oz. fragrance oil for per pound of wax. Naturally their aroma quality is much greater than the first category. Then there are super-scented candles that can contain even more; 2 oz. for per pound. The premium quality scented candles use only essential oils that have no toxic effect.
A scented candle containing good quality fragrance oil is free of dripping wax and smoke. These candles come in containers and as a result they do not leave any residue with the burnt out oil remaining in the container.
